International Day of Yoga is a day to honour the ancient science of Yoga, a science for transformation and spiritual evolution perfected and handed down by the ancient sages and seers.
Airports Authority of India, Regional Headquarter (ER) and NSCBI Airport Kolkata celebrated International Yoga Day at the Community Hall of AAI New Quarters Residential Colony with an aim to raise further awareness of its many health benefits.
Team AAI greeted the yoga instructors of the day from ‘Sarnaya Seva Ashram’. Kaushik Bhattacharjee, Airport Director, NSCBI Airport, S.P Yadav, Regional Executive Director, (ER) and R.A Meena, GM (HR), NSCBI Airport welcomed Maharaj Shri Kuladanandaji and Jayadrata Sardar and Team with flower bouquets.
The yoga session began with a pledge to practice Yoga every day to achieve a better physical, mental and spiritual health. The yoga instructors made AAI officials aware about the many benefits of practising yoga and how to make the ‘Possibilities Possible’ in life. The officials of Kolkata Airport actively participated in the event with zeal and enthusiasm. The emphasis on this day was on Yoga Pranayama. Anulom Vilom, breathing techniques during yoga asanas, etc. were some of the practises performed by the participants.
