Bandhan Bank today opened a new branch in Boral, Garia, upping its bank branch count to 994. The bank already had 370 branches in the state. With a network of 3,014 Doorstep Service Centres that the Bank already has, the total number of banking outlets now stands at 4,008. The Bank has its presence across 34 of the 36 states and union territories in India.
Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, MD and CEO, Bandhan Bank, said, “In FY 2018-19, we had received approval from the RBI to set up 64 new branches of which we opened 48 by March 2019. The balance branches are being opened in this quarter. With the opening of this branch at Boral, we are further strengthening our presence in West Bengal. Our growth has been made possible because of the love and confidence that our stakeholders have showered on us over the past years.”
As on March 31, 2019, Bandhan Bank served 1.65 crore customers and, had deposits worth Rs. 43,232 crore and its loan book stood at Rs. 44,776 crore.
